Re-timing FLIP using Custom Reseeding

Short version

Here I share how extended my paint splash sim by finding some custom tools built by fellow Houdini artists. I modified a custom hole filling set up, limiting it to only the areas with the most volume in order to preserve droplets. This method also produces consistent point IDs giving the ability to re-time the splashes post sim back in SOPs.

In the short video I try to explain this process as quickly as possible while giving credit to the artist responsible for creating the tools. For a more detailed explanation, both of the tools and my thought process of combining tools to arrive at an alternate method of reseeding sims that will allow greater flexibility to modify the results back in SOPs.
